One of my favorite parts of being an astronomer is sharing what we know with the public! I’m a proud organizer of Astronomy on Tap Boston, working alongside fellow grad students at Harvard, MIT, and Boston University. It’s also been a great opportunity for me to put my knowledge of Star Wars lore to use during our annual Star Wars Day trivia night :D

One of my most challenging questions from Star Wars trivia night!

During the most recent American total solar eclipse, I was a NASA Partner Eclipse Ambassador, where I helped educate local residents about eclipse science and safety.

I had the great fortune of traveling to the path of totality as a representative of the Eclipse Ambassador program! Here, we were able to meet residents of Kerrville and Junction, Texas in the days leading up to the eclipse.
